Week 13: Turkey Adventures

One fall day in early November, I had a very rude awakening. The tree limb had broken and dropped me out of the tree, probably because I gained a few pounds in the last week without noticing. I began to start walking through the forest with my head held high and beak pointed straight north. I was looking for breakfast, but could not find any. As I was walking from brush spot to open spot, I began to notice some people walking around with big guns. Without a doubt, I kept walking on my search for a delicious meal, until something happened. I heard a gunshot and it was close by, so I began to run towards the nearest bush. When I got there, I came up with a game plan to live for another year. To begin my plan I flew up into the nearest tree as high as I could. Next, I had to wait, which made me hungry, but I was able to survive for a while. After waiting for what seemed like forever, I had my chance to escape. The hunter was coming in my direction, so I took my stance and mentally prepared myself.  When he walked under the limb I jump down on top of him and scared him causing him to fall and drop his gun. After jumping I ran as fast as I could away from the hunter, ensuring my safety for another couple of months.
